The joy in music

Not many things bring me joy anymore, but when I’m having a bad day and nothings going right I can put on some music and all my worry’s float away. the way music can make me feel like a kid again and bring me back to some of my favourite memories is astonishing. music holds a special place in my heart for the soul reason it can lift my mood in seconds.

Art

One thing i find that brings me lots of joy is doing visual arts. For example: Painting, drawing/sketching, different craftts. etc. Doing art brings me joy because i find it helps me to develop more creativity, and also helps me focus or feel better when im upset. My personal favourite type of art is drawing / sketching.

Looking at the Little Details

For me, what brings me joy is looking for the little details in life and nature that are easy to miss. When on a walk or in my garden, I notice the perfection of a leaf or the varied colours in a flower. I appreciate seeing a bird and its unique way it cleans off its beak or methodically pecks at a branch or watching a squirrel as it bops and hops along. I am joyful that my grown daughters are also see these little details and I smile when they point out the interesting texture of a tree or…
